Recently developed graphene nanotube (single wall carbon nanotube) concentrates for powder coating formulations have expanded a line of nanotube products to all types of epoxy formulations. Just 0.2% wt. of a nanotube concentrate enables surface resistivity of 106 Ω/sq, but preserves color, surface quality, and rheological and mechanical performance of epoxy resin. Graphene nanotubes are used to produce high-performance epoxy coatings for aerospace, transportation, oil and gas, construction, electronics production, green technologies and other industries. TRAMACO’s microspheres are filled with a physical foaming agent that is encapsulated in a polymeric shell and strongly expands under the influence of heat while keeping the increased volume during cooling. Applications include underbody coatings. By using these microspheres, very low densities and highly homogeneous, closed-cell foam structures can be produced. Already pre-expanded microspheres are brand-new in TRAMACO’s portfolio. By application of these ultra-light fillers, with densities below 30 kg/m³, cell structures can also be created in materials that do not allow expandable microspheres or conventional chemical foaming agents in their processing operations, such as paints, lacquers, coatings or thermosets. MP55 Antiviral Paint Technology has proven to be effective against human coronavirus SARS–CoV-2. The Ecobulk SX-D is specially fitted with a steel hull to provide extensive protection against fire and withstand even extreme conditions. No. 1019 is a 500 ºF electrically heated walk-in batch oven currently used for curing coatings onto large discs. Workspace dimensions measure 18’ W x 18’ D x 10’ H. 260KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a total of 66,000 CFM generated by two 30-HP recirculating blowers provides combination airflow to the workload. Features include 6” insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior and interior, 2”-thick insulated flooring with built-in oven truck wheel guide tracks, and motorized dampers on the intake and exhaust for accelerated cooling of the oven chamber.
