The 2024 American Coatings Show & Conference is upon us. Organized by the American Coatings Association and Vincentz Network, this biennial trade show and technical conference serves as a major coatings industry technology forum. It will take place from April 30 to May 2, 2024, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
The 2024 American Coatings Conference (ACC) theme is “Innovations in Coatings Technology: Shaping Our Future,” featuring a curated program across multiple topical tracks, and offering some 90 technical sessions. The ACC brings together members of the coatings industry’s technical and scientific community with members of the academic world of coatings and their students for three days of learning and sharing the latest scientific research and advancements in coatings technology.
This year’s ACC will kick off on April 30 with a Keynote Address by Dr. Robert Roop, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Axalta Coating Systems. Dr. Roop will explore the shift in coatings innovation focus. In the past, innovation was driven primarily by the need for improved performance (durability, cure rates, consumption, etc.) while meeting regulatory compliance. In the future, innovation will be heavily focused on improved sustainability, driven by societal demands.
That same morning, the American Coatings Show (ACS) will open its doors to coatings professionals from around the world. The exhibit hall will feature the latest technology available from coatings and adhesives raw material suppliers; providers of laboratory, testing, measuring, production, and packaging equipment; environmental protection and safety services; and service providers (distribution, software, hardware, consulting, etc.).
One of the main attractions at the ACS is the Product Presentation stage. Show attendees have the advantage of being the first to learn about new innovations in the coatings industry by attending the live Product Presentations that take place in the exhibit hall each day of the event.
