Hempel has launched Avantguard 750 Pro, a new product designed to provide long-lasting corrosion protection for steel structures. The product is part of Hempel’s Avantguard line and is specifically formulated to address environmental and economic challenges. Avantguard 750 Pro is recommended for structures that require corrosion protection for more than 35 years. It is also designed to be more sustainable, with a high solids volume and low-VOC content. The product has been third-party tested for efficiency and performance, and is suitable for a variety of applications, including new construction, repair and maintenance. It is also designed to be easy to apply, with a fast-drying formula and the ability to cure at low temperatures.

Creative Materials Inc. has introduced 111-27, a new solvent-based urethane conformal coating. This one-component coating is designed for use in the aerospace and defense industries, where it can provide long-term protection in harsh environments. 111-27 is known for its high dielectric strength and ability to retain its color even when exposed to UV light and other environmental factors. The coating is also highly durable, with excellent resistance to abrasion and chemicals. It can be easily applied and cured at room temperature, making it a versatile option for a wide range of products. In addition to its use in the aerospace and defense sectors, it is also suitable for the electronics industry, where it can be used as a conformal coat over silver ink for EMI/EFI shielding on flex cables.

LANXESS is introducing a new line of micronized yellow pigments with a reduced carbon footprint. Part of the company’s Scopeblue portfolio, these pigments are designed for high-end applications in the paint and coatings industry. By using more eco-efficient raw materials, LANXESS offers pigments with a significantly lower carbon footprint. The new pigments will be marketed under the Bayferrox brand and will include Bayferrox 3910, 3910 LV and 3920. LANXESS is also working to ensure the new pigments integrate easily into existing paint systems. The company is committed to making its value chains more sustainable and is actively working to reduce the carbon footprint of its products.

This new-generation waterborne basecoat for vehicle repair can significantly improve body shop productivity and performance. The system achieves up to 50% faster process times compared with conventional methods, while reducing energy costs and carbon emissions by up to 60%. The high-pigmentation formula requires only 1.5 layers for complete coverage, resulting in approximately 15% material savings. Compatible with fast-drying premium fillers and clearcoats, the basecoat maintains OEM quality standards while streamlining application processes. The technology works effectively for any repair type across various climate conditions. Its simplified application method addresses industry challenges, including sustainability requirements and skilled labor shortages.

The Gardco JX-20 moisture meter is designed to provide precise and reliable moisture measurements for woodworking professionals. With a focus on accuracy, the JX-20 delivers consistent readings across different wood types, helping to prevent issues such as warping and cracking. The meter measures moisture content in a range of 6% to 60% for Douglas fir and includes a species correction for 74 different wood types. The JX-20 also features a large, custom display with an auto backlight, as well as a range of on-screen statistics and an internal calibration check. The meter is compatible with any Delmhorst external electrode and comes with a two-year warranty.

The HS series floor-mounted high-speed dispersers are designed for mixing viscous materials in production batches of up to 200 gallons. These dispersers feature a mechanical pulley control or a variable frequency drive to adjust the speed, as well as motors ranging from 5 to 20 hp. The mixers are equipped with a 316 stainless steel shaft and a 304 stainless steel dispersion blade, with the blade size determined by the motor’s horsepower. The dispersers also feature a pneumatic cylinder lift mechanism for easy batch changeover. The HS series is available with a variety of motor options, including TEFC and EP motors. An optional digital tachometer is also available.
