Specialty corrosion inhibitor, InterCoat® ChemGuard, is for galvanized (welded) tube products. The product has the ability to chemically react with a galvanized surface and form a permanent, InterReactive® bond. Highly customizable, InterCoat ChemGuard also provides a spectrum of performance options. It is suitable for most galvanized substrates. It can be furnished to tube producers as either pre-coated galvanized steel strip or liquid coating applied in line at the tube-producing facility. Most formulas are RoHS-compliant and can be tailored towards specific requirements such as weldability, adhesion promotion, and ECOAT/BIW compatibility.

The company’s new matting agent can be added to the gloss finish of Coval coatings to create a satin or matte finish. Previously, Coval coatings were packaged as gloss, satin, or matte finish, and now only the gloss finish will be sold, with the Coval Matting Agent added according to the finish desired. Packaged in sizes of 15.4 g for a one-gallon unit, and 77 g for a five-gallon unit, the matting agent can be added to Coval’s concrete, top coat, and vinyl. The matting agent is to be combined with a portion of the coating in a mixing container using a paddle paint mixer with a low-speed, handheld drill. Then, the remaining one-gallon or five-gallon pail of Coval is slowly added to the container and thoroughly mixed. A good dispersion of the matting agent is essential to assure optimum performance.
