The Heat-Flex® 7000 thermal insulative coating system offers personnel protection, insulating capabilities, and solar heat reflectivity for an array of industrial applications. The single-component, spray-applied coating system meets OSHA standards for protecting personnel from skin-contact burns on assets operating at temperatures up to 350 °F (177 °C) in one coat. A single coat can eliminate the costs of installing, inspecting and repairing conventional insulation and cladding systems for personnel skin-contact protection, thereby also eliminating the common threat of corrosion under insulation (CUI).

ROSS Ribbon Blenders handle a wide range of dry materials, from seasonings and beverage mixes to pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, and agricultural powders or granules. These blenders also efficiently incorporate minor liquid components to effectively coat individual solid particles. The ROSS Model 42N-18SS is crafted from type 316 stainless steel with interior surfaces polished to a 150-grit finish for easy cleaning. With a maximum working capacity of 18 cu.ft., the pictured blender is direct driven by a 10 HP gearmotor for processing materials with a bulk density of up to 60 lbs/cu.ft.

EPS 2133 is an all-acrylic polymer made without APEO surfactants that can be formulated for permanent and removable pressure-sensitive adhesive applications.

Henkel Adhesive Technologies has developed a new water-based sealant for cans used in the food industry. DAREX WBC 711 was designed specifically for irregular ends of tinplate or aluminum cans lined by shower head or die lining application. This product eliminates the need for non-web additives, resulting in a highly effective conventional sealing at a lower applied cost. It offers a reduction of greenhouse gas protocol (GHG) emissions by more than 30% compared to the established compound DAREX OP 2928, excluding the use-phase and end-of-life emissions. The sealant can be used in hot and cold filling, double seaming with or without steam injection, and in subsequent pasteurization or sterilization. The product exhibits good resistance to hot oil and water and conforms with European food legislation.

The TL-series direct drive cap-mounted IBC tote mixers are suited for mixing or suspending solids in intermediate bulk containers. Available with air or electric operation, from ¾ to 4 HP, models are configured for vigorous agitation in low viscosities or medium agitation for heavier bodied liquids. Air models are lightweight and variable speed with speed control valve. These mixers are ideal for a wide range of chemical mixing applications, including solvents and sanitizing solutions, as well as paint processing or suspension of settled solids for bulk paint formulations in storage.

Evonik has launched a new additive, TEGO® Guard 9000, for protecting building façades from the environment. The new “quick-set property” of TEGO® Guard 9000 technology enables high rain resistance just a few minutes after application. The technology promotes electrostatic interaction between a cationic organic polymer and the anionic paint ingredients in the coating formulation. Additionally, the formulation allows for customized addition to formulations without affecting storage stability. The additive can be used universally, regardless of the binder, PVC and color selected, and is suitable for environmentally friendly waterborne façade coatings.
