Two exciting announcements this month! First, I’m happy to introduce Coatle, a fun, new game PCI recently launched on our website. Much like Wordle, Coatle is a word-guessing game that gives players a limited number of attempts to decode a hidden, industry-based word. Input words and receive color-coded feedback. A gray letter indicates that the letter is not in the solution at all, yellow signifies that the letter is in the word but not in the correct position, and green indicates that you guessed the correct letter in the correct place. Click “enter” to input your letters, and click “finish” when you have completed the game.

After solving the puzzle, you will see a link to a recent article that pertains to the word of the week. Second, we have opened our Call for Speakers for the 2024 Coatings Trends & Technologies (CTT) Summit. The CTT Summit will take place September 4-6 at the Westin Lombard, IL, and will bring together coatings chemists, formulators, R&D personnel, and raw material, equipment, and service suppliers to present and discuss innovations in liquid and powder coatings technology.

For those of you who supply products and services to coatings manufacturers, what are you working on in the lab? What new technologies can help coatings formulators meet regulatory and customer demands, or bring products to market faster? How can you help them formulate and manufacture more sustainably? For those of you who are in education, what is at the forefront of your research? What results are you seeing? And for coatings companies, how are you improving your formulations? What new coatings technologies are making the biggest difference for your customers?

If you would like to be considered for a speaking slot at the CTT Summit, be sure to submit your abstract before the American Coatings Show - our deadline is April 5!
