After a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Coatings Show and Conference, hosted by AC Media in collaboration with the American Coatings Association and Vincentz Network, are returning to the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis April 5-7. Due to the rapid global shut down and cancellation of all in-person events in the spring of 2020, it has been four years since the coatings industry has gathered in person at the ACS. And despite some remaining restrictions and a supply chain crisis, coatings suppliers and manufacturers alike are looking forward to gathering in Indy to exchange knowledge, learn about new technology, and develop and strengthen business relationships.

The American Coatings Conference will feature 90 technical presentations on the latest research from academia and industry. The Conference will kick off on April 5 with a keynote address delivered by Dr. Chris Killian, Senior Vice President and CTO, Eastman. He will be speaking on “The Role of Innovation in the Coatings Industry When Every Color Must Be Green.” Following the keynote, the American Coatings Award will be given to the most outstanding technical presentation at the Conference. The exhibit hall at the ACS offers a comprehensive showcase of innovative products, technologies, equipment and services. Exhibitors will be showcasing coating and adhesive raw materials, testing and measuring equipment, laboratory, production and packaging equipment, environmental protection, and services. And this year, there is a designated area featuring a Powder Coatings Pavilion. The show’s floor plan can be seen here.

The third ACS Fun Run kick-starts Day 2 of the event. Runners will take their marks at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, to enjoy some early-morning exercise along a picturesque 5K route. Sponsored by BYK, this good-natured competition also provides a unique networking experience.
