The Heubach Group has launched its new product line Ultrazur™. This range of ultramarine blue pigments in four shades – from greenish to reddish – is designed for a variety of standard and demanding applications. It is highly resistant to heat (up to 350 °C), light (lightfastness of 8 in HDPE), and exhibits strong weatherability. It is non-warping and non-shrinking, thus maintaining the dimensional stability of polyolefins. Ultrazur is non-toxic, does not migrate and complies with industry norms for use in sensitive applications (registrations are expected for Q2 2023).

BYK has released three new associative thickeners: RHEOBYK-7650, RHEOBYK-7670, and RHEOBYK-7690. All three products are solid additives in a unique delivery form. They are supplied as flakes that do not tend to form dust, and yet are easy to incorporate into the millbase or into the letdown as well as a solution into the formulation. By using the new associative thickeners, the rheology can be adjusted over the entire shear range.

Series 975 Aerolon is an insulative coating that contains an advanced porous material for exceptionally low thermal conductivity, offering significant advantages over traditional insulation – mitigating corrosion, condensation, and overall surface protection. Series 975 provides long-term insulation and corrosion protection, while offering high hydrophobicity, excellent heat and mechanical stability, low volatile organic compounds (VOCs), low-odor, and non-combustibility.

ROSS’s new three roll mills are used for high-viscosity dispersions, and feature an ANSI 2017-compliant controls package. The Model 52M 2.5" x 5" is a bench-top laboratory three roll mill equipped for a wide range of applications including paints, inks, cosmetics, ointments, dental composites, electronic pastes, specialty coatings, filled resins, and various other fine particle dispersions.

This model includes hardened stainless steel type 440C precision ground rolls that are cored for water cooling and heating, ½ HP TEFC inverter-duty motor, and a NEMA 12 control panel wired to a safety trip switch that will stop the rolls in less than one revolution. The EchoTherm™ programmable Digital Stirring Hot Plate is for use in chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental, biochemical, and other laboratories. With the EchoTherm Model HS40, programming is done through the front panel membrane switch and full-functioned custom liquid crystal display. The unit can store 10 programs in memory of as many as 10 steps each where each step is a temperature, temperature ramp rate, stirring speed, and time. Each program can be made to repeat itself automatically from one to 98 times – or infinitely if wanted. All programs are stored electronically.

Plasmatreat has launched three new plasma nozzles for special applications. Plasma technology can be used to modify the surface properties of a wide variety of materials in order to optimally prepare materials and material combinations for subsequent processes. One of Plasmatreat's core competencies is the application-specific coordination of distance, treatment width and traversing speed, and the selection of the right nozzles for the process in question. The new range includes a rotary nozzle for the coating of planar materials, a nozzle for temperature-sensitive materials, and a nozzle for flat surfaces.

The new indoor/outdoor Digital Thermo-Hygrometer is a multi-functional humidity thermometer that can display temperature, humidity, and time simultaneously. It is used to measure indoor temperature and humidity, as well as outdoor temperature with the included integral 3’ temperature probe. Use the memory function to record and display a record of the max and min measuring values for these parameters over a specific time period.

The new Hauschild SpeedMixer® SMART DAC 1100/1500/2000 LR series works with a particularly long radius (LR). The mixer features vacuum robotics, sensor integration for temperature, gas, etc., variable counter rotation, QR code reader, remote control, and automatic pot cooling. Until now, the SMART DAC 1100/1500/2000 series of large-scale units could mix a maximum of 0.6 gallons of liquid, or up to two kilograms. Now, Hauschild is also equipping these mixers with an optional LR that allows mixing in a gallon bucket.
