The HRX Rotor-Stator’s patent-pending technology achieves particle deagglomeration and dispersion while controlling the temperature of the material. With the addition of an auger and a sweep blade, it can process unlimited viscosity ranges. It is offered as a stand-alone disperser, as a component on a multi-shaft mixer, or in a concentric design. Regulating the temperature with the jacketed dome teamed with a jacketed vessel adds performance improvement for maximum operation control for temperature-sensitive applications. Holcopearl is a clean, fast and flexible method of making white paint more efficiently with superior batch consistency. Using encapsulation technology, the product is a solid, non-dusty colorant with pre-ground TiO₂. No more milling is required because the pearls disperse directly during the mixing process. Holcopearl gives consistent and reproducible results that pass QC checks on the first try. It eliminates the need for color strength tests and adjustments. Holcopearl allows larger batches with consistency in a fraction of the time, without the need for further additives.

Perstorp has launched new grades of carboxylic acids that are now available with 100%-renewable, traceable mass balanced content and the market’s lowest product carbon footprint. The new products, Valeric Acid Pro 100 and 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid Pro 100, match the performance and quality of their fossil counterparts but exhibit a superior environmental profile. Fold Pack bulk packaging increases pallet efficiency and reduces processing time thanks to straight shapes and a new smart closure type. This plastic square container can be stacked together, thanks to a tapered shape. The packaging can be closed by folding the lid around the rim of the container, and clicking it into place. Fold Pack’s straight shapes allow for hardly any lost space on a pallet. The volume on a pallet can be used almost completely, resulting in logistical cost savings compared to, for example, round packaging. In addition, Fold Pack is nestable, which means that more empty packaging can be stored and transported on a pallet. With one action, Fold Pack is closed water vapor tight, and the UN mark is valid.

Evonik’s Coating Additives business line is expanding its TEGO® Foamex product range with a new defoamer built on unique hybrid technology that features bio-based polymer and polyether siloxane. The new defoamer has been developed for easy incorporation into waterborne inks at any stage of ink manufacture and even for press-side addition. Foamex 8880 offers excellent foam prevention and great foam knockdown. Foamex 8880 is a non-ionic emulsion with a high content (more than 50%) of bio-based materials in the non aqueous phase. It does not contain solvents and mineral oils, and is compliant with numerous food contact regulations.
